Multi Axis Numerical Control Drilling Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust multi-axis NC drilling machines to perform precision hole preparation, drilling, and countersinking
• Retrieve and verify current Numerical Control (NC) programs from various servers and databases
• Select, inspect, and maintain drills and tools according to program specifications
• Monitor machine operations for unusual vibrations or sounds and notify supervisors of malfunctions
• Use precision measuring tools such as dial calipers and pin gauges to ensure parts meet production specifications
• Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) functions and log production data into machine memory
• Conduct visual inspections and self-inspections to ensure part conformity
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and planning teams to resolve operational issues
• Train and assist other employees on NC programs, tools, and procedures

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience operating 3, 4, or 5 axis NC/CNC machine tools
• 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions
• 3+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a work shift (6+ hours)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Must be a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience specifically with drilling and/or precision drilling
• High school graduate or GED
