About the role
Responsibilities
- Advise students on program and course requirements, eligibility, procedures, and deadlines
- Provide detailed information regarding financial awards and scholarship eligibility
- Track and monitor the distribution of scholarships, awards, and financial aid
- Monitor student degree progress and review records to confirm graduation eligibility
- Coordinate program completion activities, including oral examinations and degree milestones
- Use established criteria to approve awards and scholarships
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of recent graduate administration experience in a post-secondary environment
- Experience working with student information systems such as ROSI, ACORN, or Slate
- Extensive knowledge of SGS policies and graduate academic guidelines
- Experience coordinating scholarships, awards, or fellowships
- Experience providing administrative support for graduate program completion and milestone tracking
- Strong skills in database management and report preparation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for translating complex policies to students
