About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct assigned aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks in accordance with approved technical data
- Execute assembly, disassembly, modification, or repair of aircraft systems, structures, and components
- Perform routine troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems to isolate and repair faults
- Ensure all work is correctly certified and meets contractual, regulatory, and quality standards
- Deliver maintenance under Boeing’s MAA MRP Part 145 approval or MOD customer approval
- Provide guidance and mentoring to peers, apprentices, and trainees
- Mitigate immediate risks and escalate emerging issues or shortfalls in a timely manner
- Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and maintain an open, honest reporting culture
Requirements
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Ability to obtain a United Kingdom Security Check (SC)
- Technical skills in aircraft maintenance practices and techniques
- Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and associated publications
Preferred Qualifications
- Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or equivalent trade training
- Experience in commercial or defence aviation environments
- Knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MRP Part 145, Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Understanding of aviation processes including Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, and COSHH
- Proficient computer skills, specifically with the Microsoft Office suite
