About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise aircraft technicians in the execution of maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities
  • Ensure technical compliance and accurate, timely work recording in accordance with company procedures
  • Plan, sequence, and distribute technical work for a small group of technicians
  • Perform assembly, disassembly, and modification of aerospace vehicle components
  • Conduct routine troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems
  • Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to peers and trainees
  • Mitigate immediate risks and escalate emerging issues or shortfalls in a timely manner
  • Maintain high standards of Airmanship, Husbandry, and Health & Safety practices

Requirements

  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documents, drawings, and associated publications
  • Working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA) and MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145
  • Understanding of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC), which requires UK residency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or equivalent trade experience
  • Experience in commercial or defence aviation environments
  • Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance processes, including Human Factors, FOD control, and COSHH
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically with the Microsoft Office suite
