MRO Buyer

Responsibilities

• Purchase production equipment parts, tooling, supplies, and services to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Manage inventory levels by establishing and maintaining min/max part levels for equipment.
• Work closely with vendors daily to negotiate pricing, confirm delivery dates, and research best turnaround times.
• Reconcile purchase orders, receivers, and invoices to ensure accurate pricing and charging.
• Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance departments to confirm deliveries and meet lead time expectations.
• Maintain and audit parts storage areas, ensuring compliance with 5S standards and performing cycle counts.
• Develop and maintain vendor scorecards to drive quality and performance.
• Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives within the facility.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of related or transferable work experience.
• Extensive purchasing experience specifically within a manufacturing facility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to a changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• AA degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Procurement, or a related field.
