MRO Buyer

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement execution of assigned goods, commodities, and services in accordance with quality, delivery, and pricing standards.
• Handle local and overseas purchasing of indirect materials and MRO items, including supplier negotiation and cost savings initiatives.
• Make tactical buying decisions regarding purchase order placement, rescheduling, cancellations, and resolution of non-conforming materials or invoice queries.
• Minimize inventory levels while ensuring adequate material availability to meet production plans.
• Collaborate on procurement automation processes to optimize data integrity and purchasing efficiency.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and internal customers to support production capacity.
• Coach and mentor less experienced members of the buying team.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant working experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (Degree in Engineering is preferred).
• Knowledge of MRO and IDM procurement practices, terms, and negotiation concepts.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in data manipulation and spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
