MRO Buyer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the movement of purchased materials and manage supplier relationships
• Review production requirements on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Negotiate prices and cost-saving measures to ensure alignment with company budgets
• Perform data entry, report generation, and analysis to support cost-saving initiatives
• Resolve issues regarding material defects, invoice discrepancies, and delivery timelines
• Maintain strict control over inventory levels to meet internal and external demand
• Convert requisitions to purchase orders and conduct cycle counts of MRO items

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Purchasing or enrollment in/completion of PMAC
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of CMS
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls
• Demonstrated ability to manage finances and operate within an annual budget
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills
