About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct assigned aircraft maintenance tasks, including assembly, disassembly, modification, or repair of systems, structures, and electronics
- Perform routine troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems to isolate and repair faults
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Approved Technical Data and correctly certified
- Deliver aircraft maintenance under Boeing’s MAA MRP Part 145 approval or MOD customer approval
- Execute maintenance activities to meet schedule milestones while maintaining high quality and performance standards
- Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to peers and oversee the work of apprentices or trainees
- Mitigate immediate risks and escalate emerging issues or shortfalls in a timely manner
- Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and maintain an open, honest reporting culture
Requirements
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Ability to obtain a United Kingdom Security Check (SC)
- Understanding of technical documents, drawings, and associated publications
- Trade apprenticeship or equivalent technical training
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MRP Part 145, aviation Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance processes, including Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, and COSHH
- Experience in either commercial or defence aviation environments
- Proficient computer skills, specifically with the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication skills with the ability to sequence technical work and manage demanding workloads
