MRO Avionic Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned aircraft maintenance tasks, including assembly, disassembly, modification, or repair of systems, structures, and electronics
• Perform routine troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems to isolate and repair faults
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Approved Technical Data and correctly certified
• Deliver aircraft maintenance under Boeing’s MAA MRP Part 145 approval or MOD customer approval
• Execute maintenance activities to meet schedule milestones while maintaining high quality and performance standards
• Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to peers and oversee the work of apprentices or trainees
• Mitigate immediate risks and escalate emerging issues or shortfalls in a timely manner
• Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and maintain an open, honest reporting culture

Requirements

• Fluent written and spoken English
• Ability to obtain a United Kingdom Security Check (SC)
• Understanding of technical documents, drawings, and associated publications
• Trade apprenticeship or equivalent technical training

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MRP Part 145, aviation Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management Systems (SMS)
• Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance processes, including Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, and COSHH
• Experience in either commercial or defence aviation environments
• Proficient computer skills, specifically with the Microsoft Office suite
• Strong communication skills with the ability to sequence technical work and manage demanding workloads
