About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI exams on outpatient, inpatient, and pediatric patients
  • Review MRI requisitions for clinical information and ensure proper imaging protocols
  • Screen all patients to ensure safety and review all patient safety information prior to exams
  • Inspect images for quality, formatting, and labeling before submission to the Radiologist
  • Act as a content expert to instruct and teach other technologists and students in MR scanning
  • Perform daily quality assurance (QA) scans and ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Coordinate with physicians, nursing, and radiologists to prioritize daily workloads
  • Maintain accurate data entry in RIS and ensure proper archiving in PACS, EPIC, and Radiant

Requirements

  • Formal training in MR scanning with knowledge of physics and system hardware/software
  • Competency in performing high-quality MR exams across various specialties
  • Proficiency with MRA, Cardiac, Pediatric, and other advanced imaging applications
  • Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registry
  • Current CPR Registration
  • Ability to work onsite in the greater Chicagoland area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of full-time MRI experience
