About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images as prescribed by physicians
- Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures
- Prepare and position patients for examinations and administer gadolinium contrast intravenously
- Perform quality control testing and equipment troubleshooting
- Maintain patient data, including history and anatomical area to be scanned
- Perform radiological procedures and other modalities as needed
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences
- Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiology Technology in MRI
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to work weekend shifts
- Proficiency in MS Office and computer applications

- Experience in high volume, high stress clinical environments
