Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes
• Position patients on exam tables and adjust immobilization devices for optimum views
• Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors based on radiographic protocols
• Practice radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices and patient shielding
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and families
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to facility policies and guiding principles
• Complete ER/Radiology tech skill check-offs to demonstrate competency

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• One year of radiologic/imaging experience
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• CPR certification
• Current State licensure from TDH
• Commitment to continuing education and collaborative training in the radiology field
