MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images as prescribed by physicians
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures
• Prepare and position patients for examinations and administer gadolinium contrast intravenously
• Perform quality control testing and equipment troubleshooting
• Maintain patient care, comfort, and safety during transport
• Perform radiological procedures and other modalities as needed
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences
• Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiology Technology in MRI
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office
• Flexibility to meet scheduling demands, including weekend shifts
