MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions with minimal supervision
• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations
• Produce high-quality technical images and review completed exams for quality
• Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to procedural guidelines
• Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and members
• Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately
• Review schedule for any gaps in coverage

Requirements

• Proficient and registered/certified in MRI ARRT
• High school diploma plus a degree from a 2-year AMA approved Radiology school
• NY State DOH Registration as Radiologic Technologist
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams, safety, and equipment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff
• Availability for weekend coverage as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• NYS DOH Certification for Injection
