MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions with minimal supervision
• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations
• Produce high-quality technical images and review completed exams for quality
• Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to procedural guidelines
• Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and members
• Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately
• Review schedule for any gaps in coverage

Requirements

• 5-10 years of MRI experience
• Previous experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems required
• Graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program
• ARRT (MR) Certification in good standing
• California State License (CRT)
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2)
• Ability to work extended hours or emergency shifts if necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience
• MRSO/MRSE certification from American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety
• IV certification
