MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures for members of all age groups with minimal supervision
• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations according to protocol
• Produce high-quality technical images and review completed exams for quality and completeness
• Assume responsibility for designated MRI equipment and troubleshoot technical issues
• Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and members
• Ensure all quality control (QC) sheets are completed accurately
• Review schedules to identify and address any gaps in coverage

Requirements

• ARRT MRI registration/certification (R.T.(MR)) or ARMRIT certification
• Associate degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, regulatory requirements, and equipment standards
• Ability to independently perform MRI procedures at a technician level
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff
• Availability for weekend coverage as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• IV/contrast injection certification (e.g., ARRT post-primary certification or employer-approved training)
