About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions for patients of all age groups with minimal supervision
- Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations while ensuring proper documentation
- Produce high-quality technical images and review completed exams for quality and completeness
- Assume responsibility for designated MRI equipment and troubleshoot technical issues according to procedural guidelines
- Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and members
- Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately and review schedules for coverage gaps
Requirements
- 5-10 years of MRI experience; previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Proven experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems
- Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program
- ARRT (MR) Certification in good standing
- California State License (CRT)
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2)
- Ability to work extended hours or emergency shifts if necessary to maintain safe department coverage
Preferred Qualifications
- MRSO/MRSE certification from the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety
- IV certification
