MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions for patients of all age groups with minimal supervision
• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations while ensuring proper documentation
• Produce high-quality technical images and review completed exams for quality and completeness
• Assume responsibility for designated MRI equipment and troubleshoot technical issues according to procedural guidelines
• Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and members
• Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately and review schedules for coverage gaps

Requirements

• 5-10 years of MRI experience; previous supervisory experience is preferred
• Proven experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems
• Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program
• ARRT (MR) Certification in good standing
• California State License (CRT)
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2)
• Ability to work extended hours or emergency shifts if necessary to maintain safe department coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• MRSO/MRSE certification from the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety
• IV certification
