MRI Tech

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI procedures in coordination with Radiologists and physicians
• Ensure patient safety by properly screening all persons entering the MRI suite and adhering to magnetic field safety guidelines
• Obtain pertinent medical information, including contrast history and MRI screening data, to perform appropriate procedures
• Provide accurate and thorough documentation in the computer system and ensure all exams are sent to PACS
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positive identification and verification of physician orders
• Maintain cleanliness of radiology equipment and rooms while ensuring procedure rooms are adequately stocked
• Support patients and families by explaining procedures and utilizing distraction techniques to maximize comfort

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology Technology or an equivalent degree
• ARRT MR or AMRIT certification
• American Heart Association BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting
• Experience with Philips 1.5 or 3T equipment
• Clinical experience in Neuro, Body, or Musculoskeletal imaging
• Venipuncture certification
