About the Company

AION is building sci-fi medical devices with the mission to bring aging under full biomedical control through closed-loop hardware that reads and writes bioelectric states in living tissue.

Responsibilities

• Design and build custom MRI hardware for experiments across cells, tissues, animals, and humans
• Translate experimental needs into functional imaging systems, fixtures, coils, sequences, and analysis pipelines
• Design, fabricate, and test RF coils, gradient systems, low-field magnet assemblies, shielding, phantoms, and sample holders
• Develop and optimize pulse sequences for low-field and experimental MRI
• Build reconstruction and signal analysis pipelines to extract biophysical data such as T1, T2, T2*, and diffusion metrics
• Survey and prototype emerging MRI modalities including portable MRI and magnetic resonance fingerprinting

Requirements

• Strong first-principles thinker
• Ability to work across electromagnetics, hardware, biology, and signal processing
• Experience building real physical systems
• Technical ownership and mission alignment
