About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an expert operator of Siemens Prisma 3T systems during research studies
  • Develop, document, and enforce MR safety procedures to maintain minimal risk
  • Perform risk assessments for research participants with implanted devices, tattoos, or other conditions
  • Administer safety training for all MR system users
  • Assist investigators with data collection and data transfer
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, IRB, IACUC, and Columbia University regulations
  • Maintain the MR system calendar and manage day-to-day research supplies
  • Perform diagnostic checks to ensure the MR system is operational and safe

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or a similar field
  • 4–6 years of related professional experience
  • Current MRI certification and active ARRT membership in good standing
  • Current MRSO certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Siemens MR systems within a research environment
  • Experience in neuroimaging MRI methods, including structural, functional, diffusion, and spectroscopy
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a collaborative team setting
