M&R Excellence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Consolidate routine maintenance processes and act as a change agent for Work Order Management (WOM).
• Provide training and coaching to stakeholders on work prioritization, planning, scheduling, and precision maintenance.
• Monitor maintenance and reliability KPIs, including Wrench Time Analysis and Maturity Process Assessments.
• Implement proactive reliability processes, including Equipment Criticality Evaluation, FMEA/FMECA, and PM optimization.
• Standardize PMs across similar assets and implement tailored Predictive Maintenance programs.
• Improve reactive reliability by analyzing OEE, maintenance costs, and "Bad Actor" equipment.
• Manage contractors for reliability improvement and condition monitoring initiatives.
• Optimize MRO inventory and storeroom management.
• Support sites in determining 5-year M&R Capex budgets and managing asset life cycles.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SAP ECC is required.
• Proven experience in Equipment Criticality Evaluation, FMEA, PM creation, and Critical Spares Evaluation.
• Experience with the implementation of Predictive Maintenance tools and programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to interact with technical and operations teams.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a demanding safety and quality culture.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% between sites (Kalamazoo, MI and Winona, MN).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
• CRL or other relevant reliability certifications.
• Technical knowledge of industrial equipment best practices (vibration, lubrication, alignment, etc.).
