MQ-25 Training Systems Principal Engineer (Lead)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, business, and integration leadership to engineering projects for MQ-25 training systems.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external customer interface and coordination.
• Oversee technical excellence for the development, integration, delivery, and sustainment of the Test, Training and Rehearsal Unit (TTRU) and Deck Ops Trainer (DOT).
• Manage project scope, baselines, and risk mitigation plans.
• Support proposal development by identifying required activities, resources, and tasks.
• Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOW) and Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW).
• Define high-level features based on stakeholder priorities and architectural recommendations.
• Manage product release schedules and ensure products meet program priorities, cost, and schedule targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in an engineering-related role.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams or leading major initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects across cost, schedule, quality, and technical domains.
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing technical proposals, estimates, and contract negotiations.
• Experience developing and maintaining Pilot Training Devices.
• Experience generating System Requirements and Statements of Work (SOW).
• Experience managing projects with Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting requirements.
• Experience as an Agile Product Manager, Product Owner, or Scrum Master.
• Experience with aircraft platforms, aviation, simulation, and training systems.
• Proficiency with agile workflow tools such as JIRA or VersionOne.
• Background in hardware design, network design, or software engineering.
