About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel, ensuring accountability for safety, quality, and throughput
- Oversee daily material handling functions, including flow from receiving to warehouse storage and production line feed
- Coach teams on safety, quality, and productivity through standardized work and process confirmation
- Monitor and respond to production occurrences and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the Ford Production System and synchronous material flow using lean manufacturing practices
- Manage the introduction of new parts to production through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
- Perform basic administrative supervisory duties and maintain necessary documentation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and various other schedules
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Proven leadership skills with strong interpersonal and teambuilding capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Management
- Experience in manufacturing environments such as body shop, stamping, or subassembly
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and constraint management
- Previous experience in MP&L or safety-focused roles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
