MP&L Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel, ensuring accountability for safety, quality, and throughput
• Oversee daily material handling functions, including flow from receiving to warehouse storage and production line feed
• Coach teams on safety, quality, and productivity through standardized work and process confirmation
• Monitor and respond to production occurrences and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Support the Ford Production System and synchronous material flow using lean manufacturing practices
• Manage the introduction of new parts to production through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
• Perform basic administrative supervisory duties and maintain necessary documentation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and various other schedules
• Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Proven leadership skills with strong interpersonal and teambuilding capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Management
• Experience in manufacturing environments such as body shop, stamping, or subassembly
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and constraint management
• Previous experience in MP&L or safety-focused roles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
