Movement Cooperation Officer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of cooperation objectives between the ICRC and the Colombian Red Cross (CRC) in the Cúcuta sub-delegation.
• Lead the Operational Partnership process within the sub-delegation's area of responsibility, ensuring efficient functional cooperation.
• Ensure compliance with cooperation agreements, including the Partnership Framework Agreement (PFA) and Movement Cooperation Agreement (MCA).
• Identify capacity gaps in the field and propose solutions aligned with global and delegation cooperation policies.
• Advise ICRC operational departments on methodologies for working with their counterparts in the CRC.
• Promote strategic actions to strengthen the sustainability, security, and territorial presence of CRC branches.
• Foster strong working relationships between ICRC operational departments and Movement partners.
• Analyze Movement dynamics and trends to advise the sub-delegation management team on coordination and risk.

Requirements

• University degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Law, International Relations, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the humanitarian or development sectors.
• Knowledge of, or experience with, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
• Intermediate-high English proficiency (B2 level).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills.
• Excellent public speaking and communication skills for training environments.
