About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of assisted or applicant households requesting to move
- Perform initial voucher application screening and eligibility verification
- Conduct client briefings and voucher issuance
- Review unit email accounts and virtual mail rooms to route documents
- Perform administrative work including data entry, logging, and record maintenance
- Prepare and send correspondence, HAP contracts, and Port packages
- Document case notes using in-house databases and electronic records
- Answer high volumes of phone calls using a phone operator system
- Perform rent calculations and review yearly recertifications
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
- Or equivalent education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Call center or customer service experience
- Section 8 or rental subsidy experience
- Bilingual proficiency
- Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
- Computer proficiency
