About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of assisted or applicant households requesting to move
  • Perform initial voucher application screening and eligibility verification
  • Conduct client briefings and voucher issuance
  • Review unit email accounts and virtual mail rooms to route documents
  • Perform administrative work including data entry, logging, and record maintenance
  • Prepare and send correspondence, HAP contracts, and Port packages
  • Document case notes using in-house databases and electronic records
  • Answer high volumes of phone calls using a phone operator system
  • Perform rent calculations and review yearly recertifications

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • Or equivalent education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Call center or customer service experience
  • Section 8 or rental subsidy experience
  • Bilingual proficiency
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency
