About the Company

A1 is building a proactive smart assistant for everyday users to bring intelligence to conversations, errands, organizing, and workflows. The mission is to create AI-native applications that handle multi-step reasoning and real-world task completion with high reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design motion and animation for AI product interfaces, including loading states, streaming responses, and system transitions
• Create motion that communicates AI behavior, such as thinking states, uncertainty, and task progress
• Develop animation patterns for failure, recovery, and asynchronous AI processes
• Work with product and UX designers to define motion for feedback and confidence cues
• Build motion specs and prototypes for engineering implementation
• Define and maintain motion design principles and a reusable animation library
• Ensure motion performance is optimized for real-time, latency-sensitive interactions

Requirements

• Experience in motion design for digital products with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in After Effects, Lottie, Rive, or equivalent tools
• Understanding of how motion communicates system state and user guidance
• Ability to design animation within mobile and web technical constraints
• Experience collaborating closely with product designers and engineers
• Awareness of accessibility and performance considerations for animation
• Good judgment regarding the utility versus noise of motion design
