Mortgage Specialist

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, build, and manage a referral network to drive new mortgage business and increase market share.
• Proactively contact referral sources and create local partnerships to discuss home financing solutions.
• Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle, serving as a dedicated advocate.
• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for personal banking, lending, and investment products.
• Partner with branch teams to ensure seamless customer hand-offs and timely fund advancement.
• Stay current on industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products.
• Execute marketing and sales programs to achieve individual sales and profitability goals.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or a related financial field.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, and the broader real estate market.
• Proven ability to manage relationships and work effectively within a team environment.
