Mortgage Specialist

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage a referral network to build a pipeline of new mortgage business
• Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle
• Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results
• Partner with branch teams to ensure seamless customer hand-offs and documentation completion
• Act as a customer advocate, providing expert financial guidance and resolving complex issues
• Stay updated on industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements
• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to meet individual sales and profitability goals
• Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems to track customer opportunities and transactions

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or a related financial field
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
• In-depth knowledge of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements
• Strong sales, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven expertise in customer service and relationship management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, and the broader real estate market
