Mortgage Specialist

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, build, and manage relationships with a referral network to drive new mortgage business and increase market share
• Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle, serving as a dedicated customer advocate
• Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to achieve individual sales and profitability goals
• Partner with branch teams to ensure seamless customer hand-offs and identify cross-sell opportunities for other banking products
• Stay current on industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products and services
• Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems to track customer opportunities, transactions, and issues
• Conduct independent analysis and assessments to resolve strategic issues and provide business recommendations

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or a related financial services field
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• In-depth knowledge of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Proven ability to perform analytical tasks and solve complex problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
