About the role
Responsibilities
- Cultivate, build, and manage relationships with a referral network to drive new mortgage business and increase market share.
- Proactively identify sales opportunities and execute effective marketing and sales programs to achieve business results.
- Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle, serving as a dedicated customer advocate.
- Partner with branch teams to ensure seamless customer hand-offs and refer clients to appropriate banking partners for non-mortgage needs.
- Stay current on industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products and services.
- Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems to track customer opportunities, transactions, and issues.
- Resolve or escalate customer service issues to ensure timely fund advancement and meet client expectations.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or a related financial services field.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of the real estate industry and the mortgage market.
