About the role
Responsibilities
- Cultivate, build, and manage a referral network to drive new mortgage business and increase market share.
- Proactively contact referral sources and create local partnerships to discuss home financing solutions.
- Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle, serving as a dedicated advocate.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to support individual sales and profitability goals.
- Execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results and enhance community presence.
- Partner with branch teams to ensure seamless customer hand-offs and documentation finalization.
- Stay current on industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products.
- Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems to track customer opportunities and transactions.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage or personal banking.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and sales skills.
- Proven expertise in customer service and relationship management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, and commercial lending.
- Specialized knowledge of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market trends.
