Mortgage Specialist

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, build, and manage a referral network to drive new mortgage business and increase market share.
• Proactively contact referral sources and create local partnerships to discuss home financing solutions.
• Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle, serving as a dedicated advocate.
• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to support branch sales and profitability goals.
• Execute marketing and sales programs to drive business results and enhance the Bank's community presence.
• Partner with branch teams to ensure seamless customer hand-offs and documentation finalization.
• Stay current on industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products.
• Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems to track customer opportunities and transactions.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or a related financial field.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market.
