Mortgage Specialist

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, build, and manage relationships with a referral network to drive new mortgage business and increase market share.
• Proactively identify sales opportunities and execute effective marketing and sales programs to achieve business results.
• Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle, serving as a dedicated customer advocate.
• Partner with branch teams to ensure seamless customer hand-offs and refer clients to appropriate banking partners for non-mortgage needs.
• Stay current on industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products and services.
• Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems to track customer opportunities, transactions, and issues.
• Resolve or escalate customer service issues to ensure timely fund advancement and meet client expectations.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or a related financial services field.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability in relationship management and customer service.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
