About the role
Responsibilities
- Cultivate, build, and manage a referral network to drive new mortgage business and increase market share.
- Proactively contact referral sources and create local partnerships to discuss home financing solutions.
- Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle, serving as a dedicated advocate.
- Partner with branch teams to ensure seamless customer hand-offs and identify cross-sell opportunities for other banking products.
- Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to achieve individual sales and profitability goals.
- Maintain compliance with all corporate policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Stay informed on industry trends, consumer needs, and best practices within the mortgage market.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or a related financial services field.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Proven expertise in customer service and relationship management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, and commercial lending.
- Specialized knowledge of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market trends.
- Experience in managing complex client needs and resolving service issues effectively.
