About the role

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage a referral network to build a pipeline of new mortgage business.
  • Proactively contact referral sources and create local partnerships to discuss home financing solutions.
  • Guide customers through the entire mortgage application and processing lifecycle.
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring exceptional service and timely resolution of issues.
  • Partner with branch teams to facilitate customer hand-offs and identify cross-sell opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products.
  • Execute marketing and sales programs to drive business results and increase market share.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage or retail banking.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability in relationship management and customer service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, and commercial lending.
  • Expert knowledge of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market.
  • Experience with credit qualification and associated credit knowledge.
