Mortgage Retail Sales Consultant (SAFE)

Responsibilities

• Solicit residential mortgages from various sources and build professional relationships with realtors, builders, and financial professionals
• Provide expert mortgage product recommendations by analyzing client financial and credit data
• Manage the end-to-end application process, including quoting rates, points, and completing registration lock-ins
• Maintain high visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the local marketplace and stay informed of industry trends
• Ensure all loan production is compliant with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Educate prospective and existing customers on mortgage programs, rates, and underwriting requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience (or equivalent through training, military experience, or education)
• Ability to obtain SAFE registration at the time of employment
• Knowledge of real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions
• Ability to analyze low to moderately complex financial and credit data
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retail residential mortgage purchase fundings from established local sources
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proven experience in sales prospecting and generating referrals
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
