Mortgage Retail Sales Consultant (SAFE)

Responsibilities

• Solicit residential mortgages from various sources and build professional relationships with realtors, builders, and financial professionals.
• Provide expert mortgage product recommendations by analyzing client financial and credit data.
• Maintain high visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace and stay informed of industry trends.
• Manage the loan application process, including quoting rates, points, and completing follow-up activities.
• Ensure all loans are compliant with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Educate prospective and existing customers on mortgage programs, rates, and underwriting requirements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience (or equivalent through training, military experience, or education).
• Ability to obtain SAFE registration at the time of employment.
• Knowledge of real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions.
• Ability to analyze low to moderately complex financial and credit data.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retail residential mortgage purchase fundings.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English.
• Proven experience in sales prospecting and generating referrals.
