Mortgage Loan Originator

Responsibilities

• Staff the Opendoor Home Loans in-state Missouri licensed location as a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator
• Originate loans, take applications, and negotiate loan terms in full compliance with Missouri and federal laws
• Guide borrowers through a technology-driven, self-service mortgage process when human support is required
• Contribute to broader mortgage operations, including compliance support, process improvement, and quality assurance
• Manage an active loan pipeline within a technology-enabled, remote-friendly environment
• Maintain an active Missouri MLO license and fulfill all continuing education requirements

Requirements

• Active Missouri MLO license in good standing (NMLS)
• Must be based in Missouri to satisfy regulatory in-state presence requirements
• Passed the NMLS SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test
• Clean credit and employment history satisfying NMLS character and fitness requirements
• Comfort working in a non-traditional, AI-first, and technology-driven mortgage environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential mortgage origination experience
• Experience at a non-bank lender or a tech-forward fintech company
• Multi-disciplinary background in compliance, marketing, or mortgage operations
• Experience working in a startup or early-stage lending environment
