Mortgage Banker Market Specialist

Responsibilities

• Originate diverse mortgage products including government, conventional, nonconforming, and construction loans.
• Interview applicants to assess financial needs, income, credit, and assets to qualify them for appropriate products.
• Negotiate loan rates and terms to remain competitive while ensuring bank profitability.
• Coordinate the timely processing and closing of loans with underwriters, appraisers, and closing agents.
• Drive sales through outbound calling, lead generation, and community outreach to support diverse lending goals.
• Maintain expert knowledge of mortgage eligibility standards, documentation, and down payment assistance programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of mortgage origination or telephone sales experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Must complete federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE Act.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Proven track record in financial product sales and strong relationship management skills.
• Valid driver's license for frequent travel to offices and customer locations.
