Morning Anchor

Responsibilities

• Use editorial judgment to help determine the content of newscasts
• Work with producers and the newsroom team to create unique, fast-paced, and innovative newscasts
• Develop, write, shoot, and edit news stories for on-air, mobile, and social platforms
• Use social media and social listening to identify big stories and develop original content
• Write and post daily content across all digital platforms, including the web
• Interview news subjects and conduct research to ensure facts and credibility
• Deliver on-air news events in an engaging, exciting, and accurate manner
• Enterprise news stories and develop community relationships to find unique, compelling content

Requirements

• Minimum 7-10 years of news anchor and reporting experience
• Proven ability to write, shoot, and edit news stories for television and digital platforms
• Strong on-camera communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in using digital and social media platforms for content creation and distribution
• Ability to use the latest editing and photography tools to tell impactful stories
• Experience interviewing subjects and conducting investigative research

Preferred Qualifications

• Journalism or Communication degree
