About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical reference for condition monitoring and database management.
- Perform advanced vibration diagnostics (ODS, Cascade, Synchronous Averages, etc.) for critical equipment.
- Conduct measurements and diagnostics for low-speed equipment using vibration, acoustic emission, and lubricant analysis.
- Collect field data using various instruments, including thermography, ultrasound, and noise measurement tools.
- Perform internal inspections of gearboxes, bearings, and housings.
- Execute multi-plane balancing of rigid and flexible rotors.
- Supervise shaft alignments for complex machinery using laser alignment tools or dial indicators.
- Develop technical reports, procedures, and instructions for the monitoring team.
- Train and develop staff in spectral analysis, bearing concepts, and multi-technique monitoring.
- Recommend equipment shutdowns in cases of imminent failure to protect people and assets.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Vibration Analysis certification (ISO-18436-2) at Level I, II, or III.
- Expertise in bearing technology, adjustment, and failure analysis.
- Proficiency in Acoustic Emission for low-speed monitoring.
- Experience with industrial lubrication and lubricant analysis interpretation.
- Knowledge of mechanical thermography and industrial ultrasound.
- Ability to work with databases, networks, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Basic technical English skills.
- Professional experience in condition monitoring within an industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher education (Degree/Engineering) in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
