About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the technical review of annual project and programme performance reports to assess data quality, completeness, and credibility.
- Review project proposals and change requests to ensure consistency with the Strategic Results Framework and results-based management requirements.
- Lead or participate in portfolio monitoring missions to facilitate knowledge sharing and lessons learned from field implementation.
- Contribute to the preparation of Board documents, strategy papers, policy documents, and talking points.
- Represent the Fund in various international fora, including UNFCCC meetings, technical conferences, and bilateral meetings with governments and stakeholders.
- Support the development of operational guidelines, tools, and other strategic assignments related to results and knowledge management.
Requirements
- Master's degree in environmental or social sciences, engineering, management, environmental policy, economics, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in environmental and social management systems, safeguards policy, and due diligence.
- Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative MEL methods, including theory of change development, portfolio analysis, and statistical analysis.
- Experience handling large datasets and conducting econometric analysis.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in French.
- Experience working in developing countries, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
- Extended knowledge of the Adaptation Fund, UNFCCC, the Paris Agreement, and the Kyoto Protocol.
- Experience managing relations with diverse stakeholders including governments, NGOs, and international development agencies.
