MongoDB DBA

Responsibilities

• Manage MongoDB cluster production environments including adding/removing nodes and capacity planning
• Perform installation, upgrading, performance tuning, and cluster monitoring
• Troubleshoot MongoDB database technology in high-pressure production environments
• Install and configure multi-node fully distributed MongoDB clusters
• Manage decommissioning and commissioning of nodes on existing clusters
• Utilize Ops Manager and commands for cluster management
• Handle MongoDB replication, backup, and recovery
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a MongoDB Core DBA role
• Deep understanding of MongoDB concepts and architecture
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Unix and Linux servers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently or in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing SOPs, asset information, and architecture diagrams
• Ability to create operational manuals and service improvement recommendations
• Associate level Cloud certifications from a major CSP
