Molding Process Technician III

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and optimize injection molding processes, presses, and molds to meet customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and defects.
• Optimize machine processes by reducing scrap, cycle times, and mold change times.
• Direct mold set-ups using efficient systems and robotics, including End of Arm set-up and programming.
• Assist with new program launches by building processes to ensure part quality.
• Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency, working closely with quality inspectors.
• Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines and tools.
• Compile and store production data and complete all required technical reports and paperwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in injection molding or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience with robotics and programming, including troubleshooting and modifying robot programs.
• Knowledge of hot runners, valve gate sequencing, gas assist, or insert molding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and AS400 systems.
• Basic mathematical skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Ability to work the 3rd shift (night shift) and work effectively independently.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and troubleshooting abilities.
