Molding Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and update injection molding PFMEAs and flow diagrams in compliance with IATF standards
• Conduct root cause investigations using 8D methodology
• Manage new mold releases utilizing simulation technology
• Perform machine studies for the qualification and weighting of automotive or appliance machinery
• Analyze scrap statistics to identify and mitigate root causes
• Implement and maintain SPC for automotive parts and injection machines
• Execute LPA audits and BOM reviews to identify and correct process non-conformities

Requirements

• Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline focused on manufacturing and molding processes
• 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding processes, ideally within the automotive industry
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
• Strong technical knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001-2015, and VDA 6.3
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and knowledge of engineering resins
• Understanding of basic electricity, hydraulics, and electronics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Wittmann and Sepro robot programming
• Master Molder certification
• CQI-23 certification
