Molder II

Responsibilities

• Set up press by checking tonnage, cure time, temperature, and speed control
• Retrieve preforms, extrusions, and inserts for jobs
• Cut and prepare material for molding at the press
• Load preforms and extrusions into preheaters and molds
• Operate press according to job specifications and mold parts requiring higher skill levels
• Unload parts from molds and inspect for flaws
• Perform trimming at the press and clean molds/equipment
• Record time and work on Labor Tickets daily
• Communicate production and press information to next shift or supervisor
• Train level B and C Press Operators
• Assist with material handling and moving materials to the pressline

Requirements

• Minimum of two years related experience
• Ability to convert weights and measures
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Strong reading and comprehension skills
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift, pull, and carry up to or in excess of 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a hot environment with exposure to extreme heat
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions
