Molder I

Responsibilities

• Operate molding presses according to job specifications and monitor tonnage and temperature
• Prepare, cut, and load materials, preforms, and extrusions into preheaters and molds
• Unload parts from molds and perform necessary trimming at the press
• Inspect finished parts for flaws and seek corrective action when necessary
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment in preparation for subsequent production runs
• Record daily work and time on labor tickets
• Communicate production and press-related information to supervisors and incoming shifts
• Assist in training new workers and provide relief during breaks

Requirements

• Entry-level manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Strong reading comprehension and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 20 pounds
• Ability to work in a hot manufacturing environment and endure extreme heat
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and use power tools or cutting equipment
