Mold Repair Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mold, process, and press problems to determine root causes
• Repair, adjust, and modify molds to address production issues and engineering changes
• Replace and fit mold parts, components, accessories, and support equipment
• Utilize trade skills including welding, polishing, and machining
• Lead and mentor technicians, setting job priorities and monitoring progress throughout the night shift
• Perform administrative tasks such as parts ordering, work orders, and shift reports
• Operate overhead cranes, powered vehicles, and other machinery as needed
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with all safety rules and procedures

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in injection-molding mold repair
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
• Proficiency with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gages
• Strong mathematical skills
• Physical ability to bend, squat, twist, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Current training in all required safety and technical certifications
• Lift Truck certification
• Experience with Lock Out/Tag Out and Hazardous Material training
