Mold Maker

Responsibilities

• Inspect, assemble, and repair tools and molds using precision measuring instruments
• Identify root causes of mold or part defects and perform repairs on medium to high complexity tools
• Execute full-cycle tooling maintenance, cleaning, and rapid repair
• Manage hot runner, cores, sensor installation, three-plate, and two-shot tooling
• Utilize onsite machining to rework worn tooling and fabricate custom tools
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure molds run productively without recurring errors
• Maintain a professional manner and adhere to 6S housekeeping standards

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience as a Mold Maker
• Associate's degree (Technical degree preferred)
• Completion of an Electrical troubleshooting course
• Strong understanding of plastics processing requirements (venting, heating, cooling, polishing, etc.)
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic forms
• Ability to communicate technical information between tool design and manufacturing teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Benching, texturing, welding, EDM, and CNC
• Experience with EDM and CNC machining
