Mold Maker

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs or alterations to mold equipment using hand tools, machinery, and welding
• Execute skilled bench and hand tool operations including blending, shaping, and welding inside cavities
• Perform lathe and mill work to restore equipment to blueprint specifications
• Inspect and verify quality of mold equipment according to blueprints and SOPs
• Create CNC programs for part fabrication
• Refurbish molds, blanks, baffles, and bottoms using precision machining

Requirements

• Machine lathe and mill experience
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with bench repair, Eutectic, and ARC welding
• Proficiency with precision measuring devices
• CNC programming skills
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 2-year technical degree in tool and die making or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Mold Maker Card
• Knowledge of automatic CNC mill and lathe
