About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering team with continuous improvement projects
- Complete assigned work orders and provide 2D and 3D models
- Attend design status, customer/internal reviews, and continuous improvement meetings
- Learn the fundamentals of plastic injection mold design
- Update design guidelines and standards
- Work with the Tool Shop to gain hands-on manufacturing experience
Requirements
- Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited university
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD and troubleshooting knowledge
- Ability to work 40 hours per week in-person for a 10-12 week summer assignment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong interest in the plastic injection molding process
